General Membership Ohope Golf Club

MEMBERSHIP

New members are invited to participate in all club competitions and activities. Sponsors of such members are reminded of their responsibilities to introduce new members to club officials and to make them aware of the rules, policies and etiquette of the Ohope Golf Club as soon as possible. All new members will be formally introduced to members on the first competition day following their joining.

 

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

 

FULL PLAYING $595.00

These members shall have all the privileges of the club including full playing rights, full voting rights, and the use of the links and Clubhouse.

 

10 HOLES MEMBERSHIP $320.00

These members shall have all the privileges of the Club, the use of the clubhouse and the right to play 10 holes of golf on any daily occasion or when a 10 holes competition is arranged. Such members shall not have voting rights and shall not be eligible to hold office in the Club.

 

COUNTRY MEMBERSHIP $300.00

These members shall be required to hold full membership of another club affiliated with NZ Golf. Country Members shall not have voting rights and shall not be eligible to hold office in the Club or compete for Club trophies

 

WHAKATANE COUNTRY-MEMBERSHIP $250.00

These members shall be required to hold full membership of Whakatane Golf Club. Members shall not have voting rights and shall not be eligible to hold office in the Club or compete for Club trophies.

   

SUSTAINING AND SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP $70.00. This class of membership is to cater for persons who do not wish to play active golf but who wish to be associated with the Club. They shall have full use of the facilities of the Clubhouse. They shall not have playing rights or voting rights and shall not be eligible to stand for office in the Club.

 

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP. Primary/Intermediate $95.00

Secondary/Tertiary $110.00

This class of membership covers persons who are admitted to the Club in either of 2 grades of Junior Members; those attending Primary and/or Intermediate Schools and those at Secondary Schools or in Tertiary Education and under the age of 18 years.

 

Junior Members are not entitled to vote or stand for office in the Club and their use of the Club facilities and entry into Club competitions is subject to such prohibitions, restrictions or conditions as the committee may from time to time impose.

 

SUMMER MEMBERSHIP $365.00 [$185 for 10 Hole] in October and reduced pro rata monthly to a minimum of $270.00 [$135 for 10 Hole] for three months or less. This class of membership covers those persons who are admitted to membership of the Club for the period of Daylight Saving. Such members shall be entitled to the use of the course and Clubhouse facilities and be entitled to play on any day. Members in this class shall be eligible to play in Twilight Golf, Christmas and New Year Social events but not in Open or Club Closed tournaments unless they can produce evidence of a current Club Handicap from another club. Summer Members shall not be eligible to vote or stand for office in the Club. Fees paid by Summer Members will be deducted from the full subscription should the Summer Member wish to become a Full Playing Member.

 

MEMBERS NOT FINANCIAL BY THE BEGINNING OF THE PLAYING SEASON [1st January] WILL FORFEIT ALL PLAYING AND MEMBERSHIP RIGHTS.
